Here is another truck I have built.. I have been adding new stuff and details on this for over 1 year, and still not finished.
Its built after a real-life truck here n Denmark, except for the fact, that the real truck is NOT a R 620, but the earlier model, R 164 G, but I guess I don't really bother.
It's built on chassis rails of a Knight Hauler kit, with 1 extra front axle, and the Scania cab,. which has been modified with the "Topline" roof from Verkerk modellbouw in Holland.
The "tower" behind the cab, which houses the modified Tamiya Electrical unit set, is made from 2 and 3 mm styrene-sheeting, and so is the entire "rear deck" which then has been fitted with aluminum chequer-plate. The side marker light-stickers are placed on top of 2x5 mm yellow LED’s so when the lights are on, they shine.
The truck is controlled by a Futaba 6 channel FASST radio control system, and powered by 2 batteries at the same time, for more capacity. The motor is an Integy Matrix Pro 65 turns lathe motor for more pulling-power and efficiency.
It also pulls a trailer, which is a handmade custom-job from Germany, and as far as i know, only this one was made.. It steers on all 4 axles, through a potentiometer, connected to the fifth wheel hookup, which then signals the hi-torque servo in the rear end, which turns all 4 axles at once, and it works really good
