At the request of our moderators, and in an effort to further protect our members and MMT from unwanted junk posts, and website links we have added a couple more security measures to our new member application process. Anyone currently an active member will not be affected by these changes, so you need not do anything. The following features have been added to our application:

Date- All applicants must fill in the drop-down date boxes, and it must be the current date before the application process will advance.

Acknowledgment- All new members will be required to choose "YES" from a yes/no choice when advised that their first post must be a new member intro before the application process will advance.

Now, we all know that these measure will not keep actual human spammers from taking the time, and effort to fill out an application, check their email, and activate their account... for whatever reason these people feel it necessary to waste their time just to post junk that will be removed anyway, most of the time before anyone even sees it since all new members must have their first 5 posts approved anyway. However, these measures will help prevent spammer software from breaching the application process. We are constantly looking for new ways to prevent this crap from being posted, noone here wants to see it... and we do our very best to keep it out of MMT. Once again, a big thank you to our moderators who keep most of this at bay and out of public view.

We ask all members, if you see a post that is questionable please report it... it is very easy for any member to report any post on MMT simply by clicking the red exclamation mark in the lower right hand corner of the post, all reports go directly to moderator and admin queues so that they may be investigated.
