Hey guys, our CAD drawings are just about complete on our Alcoa replica wheels. Right now we are having front standard steers, rear and trailer duals, and a rear super single done, and production is only days away. Following these three designs will be the front super single. Duals will all be a 2 piece wheel, with center cap and lug bolts and 10 round holes, round holes will be of accurate size- not these ones that are way too big. We are trying to figure out lug bolt quantity right now, and 8 or 10 bolts is going to be standard depending on cost- but rest assured 8 and 10 lugs are both commonly used in the 1/1 world so accuracy is still being met. All of our own wheel designs will be as accurate as possible, using 10 round holes, and offsets will also be accurate.

What I need to know from you guys, is would you rather have a nice stainless steel lug bolt, or a black oxide one? I know black oxide is more realistic to 1/1, however with a lug nut cover your now closer to the stainless. So let me know so we can get lug bolts ordered.

It's a whole lot easier to paint the stainless ones than to polish black oxide.

How about making old school 5 hand hole styles too? Really not much different in design, just half as many holes(justs a touch larger in diameter). It would look really good on a 50's style truck.

Have to do some dig'n on Hanks site probably. They are the early Alcoa's, mostly were split rims back in the day(late 50's-early 60's) that had only 5 larger holes around instead of the later 10 small holes.
