Nick's first build, from a King to a Pete

Postby Snowman on Mon Mar 29, 2010 4:32 pm

Well, my project to build my first RC truck has begun! I heard you chaps like pictures, so I'll let them do the talking:

Not much to show so far but I thought I'd start the build diary. Waiting for my 28" frame rails to arrive.
Thanks for looking!

@ cjwrctrucker
Got the wheels from model direct in Hongkong

@ Brian
I guess I will have to wait. I live in hope that someday I will get the right headlight. Sooner rather than later I hope...

I sure hope so! Ric's still tracking it down. It appears it was sent to another customer in error.
I'm a little t.o.'d the parcel wasn't checked before sending but these things happen, such is life.

In other news my chassis rails arrived today from Joe's custom trucks, gonna etch prime them later today or tomorrow morning.

Update!

Sleeper top chopped and dropped. I just need to shore up the inside ready for filler.

Also glued the sunroof and filled the seam. Boy, that wasn't a great fit. Working through the different grades of wet and dry paper, don't want even the slightest hint of a seam showing through the paint.
